Healthy Child Healthy World: Creating a Cleaner, Greener, Safer Home (2008) is a smart mom’s (and dad’s) guide to eco-friendly/natural living, filled with helpful information and tips contributed by celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow, Brooke Shields and Kate Hudson. Kindergarten Parents

Many schools started this past week and are now into their first full-blown week of Kindergarten. The end of the summer must be filled with some turmoil for not just the children, but the parents too. Many experienced Kindergarten teachers find that it's even more difficult for the parent to let go on that first day. Thankfully, an exercise program could be the solution to both. “A lot of postpartum women tend to get swamped with ‘just baby,’” says Michelle Mottola, Ph.D., director of the Exercise and Pregnancy Lab at the University of Western Ontario in London, Canada. “Every postpartum woman needs to take time out for herself. Exercise is a good way to do that because you feel you’ve done something for yourself.”

"Sleep When Baby Sleeps"

If you've heard it once, you've heard it a million times.  "Sleep when baby sleeps" is probably one of the most valuable and often overlooked pieces of advice that can be given to new/first time mothers. In fact, when I was a baby, my mom would occassionally take naps while I was sleeping on her lap, chest or stomach, and she says it was the one of the most loving experiences she remembers from when I was a baby.
